Streaming Summaries works for Very Long YouTube Conversations
Okay, streaming is working now in YouTube summariser (https://github.com/weijianzhg/youtube-summariser) and honestly, it’s working better than I expected. You get immediate feedback and a summary streamed back, even when you’re asking for really long YouTube videos. Stuff like Joe Rogan or Lex Fridman, where the conversations can be four hours long. Everything looks good so far. The YouTube summariser doesn’t seem to have any issues handling that, which I’m really happy about.
The current version of the YouTube summariser is 0.3.0 (https://github.com/weijianzhg/youtube-summariser/releases/tag/v0.3.0). I also upgraded the default LLMs, so it’s now using the latest GPT-5.2 and Claude Sonnet 4.5 by default. Both have a pretty large input token space, and overall they’re very, very powerful.
